Inauguration of 50th Safety Week Celebration on 4.3.2021

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) and Vapi Emergency Control Center (VECC) is always committed in up keeping safety, health and environment. VIA & VECC is taking regular measures to make Vapi a Zero Accident Estate by holding various Safety Awareness & Training Programs regularly. Safety Week is celebrated across the country from 4th to 10th March and VIA & VECC is also celebrating the 50th Safety Week from 4th March to 10th March 2021jointly with Directorate of Safety & Health (DISH), Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and Notified Area Authority (NAA) as done every year. The inauguration function of the Safety Week Celebration was organized on 4th March 2021 at Pidilite Industries Ltd., Plot No. 23, Phase I, GIDC, Vapi in the presence of Shri D K Vasava, Dy. Director, DISH, Valsad, Shri Prakash Bhadra, President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Secretary, VIA and Dr. Sharad Tewari, Unit Head, Pidilite Industries Ltd. After the inauguration Safety Oath was taken by all the dignitaries and participants of the Inaugural Function. During the Inauguration Function of the 50th Safety Week Celebration Shri Prakash Bhadra also informed that VIA & VECC will also be organizing Safety Audit at the MSME Member Units as our Journey to World Zero Accident. Safety Week Celebration is also taking places at the Factory Premises of many of our Industries Members and various Safety Awareness Programs has been planned. Aarti Industries Ltd. has organized Poster Competition, Mock Drill, Essay Competition, Awareness on Usage of Fire Fighting Equipments, Safety Quiz and Safety Speech Competition, Jay Chemicals has organized Training for Safe Keeping and Storage of Materials at their Factory Premises, R3 Crop Care has organized Poem Competition, Mock Drill, Safety Training Session and Safety Quiz Competition. Similarly many other Industries Members have also organized various safety awareness programs at their factory premises showing their commitment in maintain Safety & Health at their factory premises and in the Estate. VIA & VECC also arranged an event on Prevention from Accidents and Injuries, at 10:30 am on 8th March 2021, Monday at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall and an Awareness Session on Fire Safety Rules & Norms on 9th March 2021, Tuesday at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall. The Concluding Ceremony of the 50th Safety Week Celebration will be held at 11:00 am on 10th March 2021, Wednesday.
