Safety Alert Program on Fire Safety & NOC Procedure on 7.8.2019

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) is organizing various Safety Awareness Programs, Interactive Sessions almost every month under the banner of Safety Alert Program with the support of Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH) and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB). In the recent past Fire Safety has become a major challenge for the Industries and Commercial Establishment. Keeping the same in consideration a Safety Alert Program on Fire Safety and NOC Procedure was organized at 3:00 pm on 7th August 2019, Wednesday at VIA Auditorium, GIDC, Vapi. The keynote speaker of the program was Shri L K Dungrani of L K Dungrani Associates, Surat. Shri Dungrani is an ex-officer of DISH and has got wide experience in fire safety and related subjects. Shri Dungrani during his presentation gave some alarming figures regarding fire incidents, he said that everyday around 125 person dies due to fire accident and 70% of the Fire Incidents happen due to electrical short circuit. He then explained various preventive measures for fire incidents and also explained the procedure to obtain NOC for Fire Safety from the concerned government authorities. The event was truly fruitful for the participants and held in the presence of Shri B R Gajjar, Regional Officer, GPCB, Shri Prakash Bhadra, President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Suresh Patel, Chairman, Notified Area Governing Board, Vapi, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Chairman, VECC Committee, VIA and officers of GPCB. The event was well attended by over 200 safety officers of Industries Members, Fire Fighters of Notified Area Authority, Vapi and Vapi Nagarpalika, School Teachers and faculties.
