Orientation Workshop for Industry Apprentice Initiative under STRIVE Project on 29.4.2019 at VIA 1st Floor Conference Hall

The Ministry of Skill Development has invited the industrial clusters of entire country earlier to take part in the Industry Apprentice Initiative (IAI) under the STRIVE Project of World Bank for a grant of Rs. 1 Crore. Vapi Industries Association (VIA) has thereafter applied for the IAI Project and the proposal of VIA was approved as one of the two Industrial Cluster of Gujarat state.
To find out the way forward for the IAI Project and for preparation of the IAI Plan to be submitted to the authorities and Orientation Workshop was arranged on 29th April 2019 at VIA 1st Floor Conference Hall. The Workshop was held in the presence of Shri Praveen Mainpuri, Director, Employment & Training, Ministry of Skill Development, Govt. of India and Designated Representative of World Bank, Shri V S Champavat, Asst. Director, Directorate of Employment & Training, Govt. of Gujarat, Shri D B Vadaviya, Technical Officer, Directorate of Employment & Training, Govt. of Gujarat, Shri Hemant Choudhari, Principal 1, ITI, Pardi, Shri N R Patel, Principal, ITI, Dharampur & In Charge Principal, ITI, Kaprada, Shri Girish N Lad, Principal, Bhilad, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Hemang Naik, Jt. Secretary, VIA, Shri Hasmukh Shah, Shri Hasmukh Shah, Chairman – Skill Development Committee, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Chairman, Skill Development Committee, VIA. Over 26 Industries Members who have extended their support to facilitate the project by providing on site apprentice training, Principals and Staff Members from other it is of Valsad District and Ankleshwar, representatives of Ankleshwar Industries Association was also present for the Orientation Workshop.
