Seminar on Safety Management for Transportation of Chemicals held on 23.10.2018

Vapi being a chemical hub, there is regular movement and transportation of chemicals. This carries enormous risk of accidents. To create awareness to mitigate such risks Vapi Industries Association (VIA) in association with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), Vapi Regional Centre, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH) has organized a Seminar on Safety Management for Transportation of Chemicals on 23rd October 2018, Tuesday at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall. The Seminar was held in the presence of Shri Prakash Bhadra, President, VIA, Shri B R Gajjar, Regional Officer, GPCb, Vapi, Shri D M Acharya, Asst. Director, DISH, Valsad, Smt. Jagrutiben, Asst. Director, DISH, Valsad, Dr. H M Bhatt, Chairman, IIChE, Vapi Regional Centre, Shri Maulik Desai, Vice Chairman, IIChE, Vapi Regional Centre, Shri Shashikant Pokhle, Secretary, IIChE, Vapi Regional Centre, executive committee members and members of VIA, IIChE and Vapi Transport Association. The keynote speaker Mr. Allwyn Cresto, CEO, Nicer Globe gave a visual presentation and explained various aspects and needs of safe transportation of chemicals to avoid unwanted incidents and accidents.
