Khat Muhrat of Disaster Prevention & Management Centre (DPMC) on 6th July 2025, Sunday

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) was representing to Government Authorities for Establishing a Disaster Management Centre (DPMC) at Vapi to cater to the Industries & Citizens of entire Valsad District. The project finally got its approval in the recent past with kind intervention and guidance of the Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat, Shri Kanubhai Desai. The DPMC of Vapi will be established on land area admeasuring 6500 Mts² situated at the 1st Phase of Vapi Industrial Estate with a tentative project cost of Rs. 48.50 Crores to cater to over 5000 Industries and 18 Lacs people of Valsad District. The DPMC will have 15 Nos. of specialized vehicles like Rescue & Hazmat Van, Water & Foam Tenders, Water Bowser, Fire Tenders, Hazardous Chemical Recovery Vans, Ambulance etc. The establishment of the DPMC is likely to be completed and become operation within 18 months.
