Visit of Shri Kiran B Jhaveri IAS, Addl. Commissioner, Gujarat State Tax at Vapi Industries Association (VIA) on 11th October 2023

Additional Commissioner Gujarat State Tax – Shri Kiran B Jhaveri IAS came for a courtesy visit at Vapi Industries Association (VIA) on 11th October 2023 and an interactive meeting was organized with him and the leading Industries Members at 4:00 pm during his visit at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall. Shri Satishbhai Patel, President, VIA did the welcome of Shri Jhaveri after the brief introduction about him was done by Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA. Shri Kiran B Jhaveri IAS then delivered addressed the present Industries Members. He said that after lot of brain storming by himself, the State Tax Commissioner and the Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat – Shri Kanubhai Desai to avoid cheating or fraud with the Industries & Trade Members by scrupulous parties by providing fake GST Invoices, the GST department has therefore decided to start GST Suvidha Kendra at multiple locations of the country with biometric facility to protect the interest of the law abiding Industries & Trade Members. He further said that the first ever GST SUvidha Kendra is likely to be started at Vapi only in the next month and the office for the same is also getting ready, he said that the department is putting its effort to get the inauguration of first ever GST Suvidha Kendra be done by the worthy hands of the Hon’ble Minister of Finance – Smt Nirmala Sitaramanji, Govt. of India in the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat. Thereafter number of GST Suvidha Kendra will be opened all across the county and out of that 12 number of GST Suvidha Kendra will be at Gujarat State only.
