Industrial Awareness Program on BIS Certification & Quality Control Orders of Government of India on Various Products on 21.8.2023

Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) formerly known as Indian Standards Institute (ISI), Surat Branch jointly with Vapi Industries Association (VIA) has organized an Industrial Awareness Program & Quality Control Orders of Government of India on various Products at 3:00 pm on 21st August 2023, Monday at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall. The program was attended by Shri Maganbhai Savalia, Vice President, VIA, Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Rajulbhai Shah, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Immd. Past President, VIA, Shri S K Singh, Sr. Director and Head, BIS, Surat Branch, Shri Yagnesh Pavagadhi, Regional Manager, DIC, Valsad, Smt Srishti dixit, Scientist – D & Jt. Director, BIS, Shri Satyendra Kumar Pandey, Scientist – D and Jt. Director, BIS, Shri Nitin Doriya, Standard Promotion Officer, BIS, Executive Committee Members of VIA – Shri Sanjay Savani, Shri Nitin Oza, Shri Joy Kothari and many Industries Members and Staff Members of BIS. Shri Singh during his presentation informed about the recent compliance order issued by Government of India making it compulsory for many products to get certification of BIS and another 600 numbers of products will come under the compliance order in the next 2 months. He then explained the present how to get registration done online through BIS Portal to get the compliance done. Shri Kalpeshbhai during his address advised the Industries Members to go through the BIS Portal time to time to check whether any of their products are falling under the compliance order and avoid any future inconvenience. The program was well attended by over 70 Industries Members who took the benefit of the program.
