Celebration of World Ozone Day on 16th September 2021

The World Ozone Day was celebrated jointly by Vapi Industries Association (VIA), Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and Vapi Green Enviro Ltd. (VGEL) on this day i.e. 16th September 2021 at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall. The event was attended by Shri Hemang Naik, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Prakash Bhadra, Past President & Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Haresh Ganvit, Sr. Scientific Officer & Lab Head, GPCB, Vapi, the officers from GPCB, Vapi, Staff Members of VGEL and the Industries Members. Shri Hemangbhai during his welcome address said that the Industries Members of Vapi Industrial Estate are making continuous & continual progress in industrialization while nurturing the environment and mother earth with utmost care. Vapi Industries Association (VIA) also through its many initiatives ensuring the safe keeping of environment and ecology and to create awareness on environment regularly celebrating World Environment Day, Earth Day, World Ozone Day etc. Shri Prakashbhai during his speech explained the importance of the Ozone layer in the atmosphere, he further said that during this COVID 19 pandemic time we all have realized the importance of the Oxygen, we therefore should now understand the importance of Ozone in the atmosphere. Shri Ganvit also also explained the importance of Ozone in our daily life in details and Shri Jigar Patel, Dy. GM, CETP, Vapi thereafter gave a visual presentation on the importance of Ozone Layer, how it get damaged and what are the ways & means to stop the damage. The present Industries Members got important information and knowledge on Ozone & Environment through this event.
