50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Vapi Industries Association (VIA) held at 4:00 pm on 7th January 2022 at VIA Auditorium

The 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Vapi Industries Association (VIA) for the year ended on 31st March 2021 was held at 4:00 pm on this day i.e. 7th January 2021, Friday at VIA Auditorium. The AGM was attended by over 160 Industries & Trade Members. The delay caused in holding the AGM was due to the restrictions imposed due to the COVID 19 Pandemic.
Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, President, VIA welcomed his fellow Office Bearers, Advisory Board Members – Shri Yogeshbhai Kabaria, Shri Prakashbhai Bhadra, Committee Members and Members in the AGM. He said that the activities of VIA is not limited to the well being of Industries & Trade Members but it exercises many social activities for the upliftment of the people and the society, he then gave brief of few of such activities done by the Team Members of VIA during the COVID 19 pandemic to combat the deadly disease successfully. He also informed the present about various new projects like underground cabling of the overhead electrical lines, establishment of a Sports Complex etc. which has been taken up by VIA with support & guidance of Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Gujarat & Advisory Board Member of VIA, to facilitate the Industries Members and the Citizens of this estate. Whicle concluding his welcome address he assured all about the continued selfless efforts of the Team of VIA for the betterment of the Industries & Trade and Citizens of this estate.
Thereafter the agenda points of the AGM including the approval of the Audited Balance Sheet were taken up by the Hon. Secretary and the Treasurer of VIA and all the agenda points was passed unanimously and unopposed by all the present members.
Thereafter Shri Yogeshbhai informed all the members about the tremendous support and guidance received from Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Gujarat and Shri Jitubhai Choudhari, Hon’ble Minister of State, Govt. of Gujarat in resolving many teething problems of Vapi Industrial Estate and surrounding areas, he also informed that the long awaited project for laying of pipeline till deep sea for discharge of Industrial Waste Water is also likely to be incorporated by Shri Kanubhai in the upcoming State Budget, this will not only help the Industries on this estate to get relaxed discharge norms but will also save around Rs. 200 Crores which otherwise was to be invested from the kitty of the Industries Members only. He requested all to bring up any issues or projects which may help in the betterment of this estate so that the same may be represented by VIA to the Hon’ble Ministers who are always willing to resolve the issues and challenges of this estate.
Shri Prakashbhai then thanked the Founder President, Padma Bhushan Shri Rajjubhai Shroff, the Advisory Board Members, Committee Members and Members who have extended unconditional support to his team during histenure as President before he handed over the charge to Shri Kamleshbhai. He also expressed the Strong, Responsive and Sensitive approach taken by his team to resolve many of the challenges of the Industries & Trade Members and the continuous efforts and co-ordination made with leading associations and chambers like GCCI, FIA, CII and FICCI, who all have acknowledged the contribution made by VIA for the well being of the Industries & Trade.
Shri Satishbhai while delivering Vote of Thanks, said that we have proud moments this year when our Founder President Shri Rajjubhai Shroff was awarded the very prestigious Padma Bhushan Award as well our Senior Member Shri Gaffurbhai Bilakhiya being awarded the prestigious Padma Shree Award. He also congratulated Shri Miteshbhai Desai, Shri Kaushikbhai Patel and Shri Manojbhai Patel – the members of the association who have recently won the election of Vapi Nagarpalika to become councilors. He then delivered his thanks to all the present members for attending the AGM of VIA.
The 50th AGM of VIA was then concluded with the National Anthem.
