Visit of Public Accounts Committee of Gujarat Assembly at Vapi on 25th December 2021

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Gujarat Assembly came for a visit to Vapi Industrial Estate on 25th December 2021, Saturday. The goal of the committee is to take the inputs from Industries and Citizens of different Cities and Industrial Estates to find out the issues and challenges of people of the State so that the same may be taken for discussion in Assembly for amicable solution. The committee consisting Shri Punjabhai Vansh, President, PAC, Dr. Anil Joshiara, MLA, Bhiloda, Shri Virjibhai Thumar, MLA, Lathi, Shri Baldevji Thakor, MLA, Kalol, Shri Atmaram Parmar, MLA, Gadhada, Shri Vivek Patel, MLA, Udhna, Shri Bhagabhai Barad, MLA, Talala accompanied by Shri Meraman Hammir, Dy. Secretary, Gujarat Assembly, Shri Neeraj Gamit, Section Officer, Gujarat, Assembly was present during the visit interactive meeting. The meeting was held in the presence of Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat, Shri Parag Dave, Regional Officer, GPCB, Vapi, Shri A G Patel, Regional Officer, GPCB, Sarigam & Navsari, Shri Dinesh M Parmar, Regional Manager, GIDC, Vapi, Shri Kamlesh Patel, President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Hemang Naik, Treasurer, VIA, Advisory Board Members of VIA – Shri A K Shah, Shri Shirishbhai Desai, Shri Yogeshbhai Kabaria, Shri Nanubhai Bambharolia, Invitee Members of VIA – Shri Madhubhai Mangukiya & Shri Pramodbhai Patel, prominent Industries Members of VIA and Officer from various Government Authorities.
Shri Kamleshbhai during his welcome address gave brief about VIA and its activities followed by floral welcome of the dignitaries, thereafter Shri Hemangbhai gave a detailed visual presentation on the activities of VIA.
Thereafter Shri Punjabhai and all the present members of the PAC has expressed the need to uphold nature and environment with growing industrialization, all of them during their address has appreciated the initiatives and efforts of VIA and its members to maintain the greenery inside and around the Vapi Industrial Estate for safe keeping of the environment, its ambience and ecology.
Shri Kanubhai during his address explained the present PAC members how every drop of waste water of all the industries as well as the sewage water of the residents are carried through underground drainage line to CETP where it gets treated to avoid any scope of soil, water or air pollution.
The meeting was then concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Shri Satishbhai.
The PAC members thereafter went for a visit to the CETP of Vapi and Muktidham before joining for a networking lunch at UPL Ltd., they have also been given a visual presentation on the functioning of CETP durin their visit to CETP.
