Founder President of Vapi Industries Association (VIA) and Chairman & Managing Director, UPL Ltd. Shri Rajjubhai Shroff has been awarded one of the highest honour – Padma Bhushan by the President of India this year and Shri Kanubhai Desai, Advisory Board Member of VIA has recent been appointed as the Cabinet Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat. A Sanaman Samaroh (Felicitation Ceremony) was organized by VIA at 11:00 am on 4th December 2021, Saturday at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall to felicitate them for their larger than life achievements. The Sanman Samroh was held in the august present of Smt. Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, during his welcome address said that it is a lifetime opportunity to felicitate such stalwarts in their own area and achieved such great height making our association proud. After that giving brief of Shri Rajjubhai, Shri Kanubhai and Smt. Sandraben he welcomed them and all the present in the Sanman Samaroh. Shri Milanbhai Desai during his address said Shri Rajjubhai has not only contributed selflessly for the growth and well being of the Industries Members, Vapi Industrial Estate but he has always remained very much emotionally connected with the farmers of this region and his intention was to assure best crops and production by the farmers of this region. He also appreciated the simple nature, integrity and honesty of Shri Kanubhai, he continued saying that Shri Kanubhai has remained down to earth even after being appointed as the Cabinet Minister of Govt. of Gujarat. Going down the memory lane Shri Yogeshbhai said that when he was appointed as the President of VIA in the year 2015 many of his fellow members of the Association has asked him about his dream and vision and he said he wish to establish a good crematorium, which everyone took lightly, but Shri Rajjubhai assured his best and also made the highest contribution to build the state of the art Muktidham. He said similarly Shri Kanubhai has always stood beside him and came along with the team of VIA to Gandhinanagr and Delhi number of time to make representations to Ministers and Senior Officers to take Vapi out of Critically Polluted Areas list and with his guidance and support Vapi came out of the Critically Polluted Areas list during his term. Shri Shirishbhai said that he is been hearing about Shri Rajjubhai since his childhood and well aware of his achievements, he continued saying that Shri Rajjubhai’s vision was always ahead of time and that is the key to all his success. He also appreciated Shri Kanubhai for his simplicity, integrity and down to earth nature even after getting such success. Shri Satishbhai Zaveri shared many of his pleasant memories and appreciated Shri Rajjubhai for his support and cooperation to the small industries to make them survive, he also acknowledged the courage and integrity of Shri Rajjubhai in fighting the corruption and malpractices. He became emotional appreciating Shri Kanubhai and told all the present that how Shri Kanubhai recently attended the prayer meet of his beloved wife even after becoming a Cabinet Minister. Shri A K Shah shared his memories with Shri Rajjubhai and told all how he used fight against extortion, malpractices with the support of Shri Rajjubhai for the well being of the industries. He also appreciated the integrity and honesty of Shri Kanubhbai and expressed his wish to see him as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in the future. Smt. Sandraben during her speech thanked for holding this event, she requested and encouraged all the industries members to build world class infrastructure in Vapi Industrial Estate as we all are part and parcel of this estate and better infrastructure will help in further sustainable growth. Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora gave brief introductions of Shri Kanubhai and Shri Rajjubhai before inviting them to deliver their speech. Shri Kanubhai during his speech emphasized that he is very much a part and parcel of the Association and fellow colleague of the Industries Members of Vapi and always remain the same irrespective of his position in the Government. He assures to continue his effort and work for the well being of the Industries and Citizens of Vapi and surrounding areas. Appreciating Shri Rajjubhai, Smt. Sandraben and the entire Shroff family, he said it’s their support and blessings which made him reach such great height. Shri Rajjubhai said that most about him has already been said but he would still like to share few of his memories about the fight he made against corruption and malpractices to make the life of industries members easier and shred few of his past experiences. He then said that we have enough of technocrats like engineers, chemists etc. in our country and even in our organizations, we need to identify them and push them to achieve the unachievable and they are the people who make us great and successful. He also acknowledged the continued support and cooperation of his wife Smt. Sandraben. Encouraging all he said our future is very bright, we just need to pave our way forward and maintain our integrity and honesty in business. Acknowledging his team he said he keeps getting the credit of the hard and honest work of his team. He also acknowledged the honesty and integrity of Shri Kanubhai. Shri Satishbhai delivered the vote of thanks to the dignitaries and the participants and said we have experienced today one in a life time moment by being with the two great personalities who have probably reached to their highest limit of achievements.
