8th Edition of Safety Alert Program – Safety Training on Process Optimization & Safety in Oxy - Fuel Gas Cutting & Welding on 24th June 2021 at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) and Vapi Emergency Control Center (VECC) jointly with Messers Cutting System and Crestt Innotech Pvt. Ltd., Surat has organized the 8th Edition of Safety Alert Program at 4:00 pm on 24th June 2021 at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall with the support of Directorate of Safety & Health (DISH), Valsad and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) - Safety Training Session on Process Optimization & Safety in Oxy Fuel Gas Cutting & Welding. During the training session Shri Mandeep Joshi of Messers Cutting System explained the Nature & Behavior of Industrial Gases, way for Safe Handling of Gas Cylinders, uses and benefits of Industrial Gases, Gas Manifold System and how to optimize use of Industrial Gases. Shri Prakash Anandani of Crestt Innotech explained the risk and the ways & means to mitigate the risk of using Oxy Fuel Gas Cutting & Welding Operations. Shri Kalesh Patel, President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Secretary, VIA and Shri Prakash Bhadra, Immd. Past President, VIA was present during the Safety Alert Program and they said that the safety of the Factory and the Work Place is not only important it is also important to maintain the safety of the personnel who are working there and ultimately generating the revenue for the company. They said that the work of Gas Cutting and Welding is increasing as there is continuous increase in infrastructural work which is causing an increased risk, particularly during the COVID 19 period there was shortage in availability of Oxygen and many case of fire incidents happened at Industries as well as in Hospitals which has caused considerable losses of human life as well as material and financial loses, regulatory authorities has also imposed heavy penalties for such incidents. Considering the scenario this Safety Program was the need of the time and this must have surely benefited the present fellow industries members and the safety personnel.
