World Environment Day Celebration on 5.6.2021

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) jointly with Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), Notified Area Authority (NAA), Vapi and Vapi Green Enviro Ltd. (VGEL) is celebrating World Environment Day every year to create awareness about our Mother Nature, to maintain the ecological balance in and around Vapi Industrial Estate. This year also World Environment Day was celebrated with multiple activities aimed to the Environment. Tree Plantation was arranged at the CETP, Vapi to increase the greenery in the area. The Tree Plantation at CETP was done in the presence of Shri R R Raval IAS, Hon’ble Collector of Valsad, Shri Kanubhai Desai, MLA, Pardi, Shri Prakash Bhadra, President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Hemang Naik, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Secretary, & Chairman – Green Society, VIA, Shri S S Sarna, Director, VGEL, Shri Chetan Patel, Director, VGEL, Shri Magan Savalia, Director, VGEL, Shri Hemant Patel, Chairman, NA Committee, VIA, Shri H N Ganvit, Environment Engineer & Lab Head, GPCB, Vapi, Shri D B Sagar, Chief Officer (I/C), NAA, Vapi, Shri Vivek Trivedi, Jr. Scientific Officer, GPCB, Vapi and other Officers from GPCB Vapi. Shri R R Raval IAS, addressing the present appreciated the continuous effort made by VIA and VGEL in creating ideal ambience and maintaining ecological balance in the Vapi Industrial Estate and surrounding areas. The Maglam Udyan a pocket garden near Managalmurti was developed with the support of Mangalam Drugs & Organics Ltd. The Lokarpan of the Mangalam Udyan was done during the World Environment Day 2021 by the worthy hands of Shri R R Raval IAS, Hon’ble Collector of Valsad and Shri Kanubhai Desai, MLA, Pardi in the presence of Shri Prakash Bhadra, President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Hemang Naik, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Secretary, & Chairman – Green Society, Shri Kamlesh Patel, Jt. Chairman, Green Society, VIA, Shri V R Patel, President, Vapi Nagarpalika, Shri Chetan Patel, Director, VGEL, Shri Magan Savalia, Director, VGEL, Shri Hemant Patel, Chairman, NA Committee, VIA, Shri D B Sagar, Chief Officer (I/C), NAA, Vapi, Shri Lalit Kothari, EC Member, VIA, Shri Joy Kothari, EC Member, VIA, Shri Mitesh Desai, EC Member, VIA, Shri Mehul Patel, Member of VIA Shri Kanubhai during his address to the present appreciating VIA and the Green Society of VIA said that by developing Pocket Gardens we are improving the ambience and environment of the areas surrounding to the Pocket Gardens. Tulsi is one of the most commonly known medicinal plant and used in many medicines also. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat considering the present pandemic scenario has advised all the plant maximum number Tulsi during this World Environment Day 2021 and thereon. The Green Society of VIA accordingly planned to develop Tulsi Van near Lions Blood Bank, GIDC, Vapi, 2500 numbers were planted at the Tulsi Van and over 1000 Tulsi plants were distributed to the Industries Members and the Citizens of the Estate. Shri Prakashbhai also informed all the present that VIA and he Green Society will be planting altogether 25000 Tulsi Plants during the coming days. The Green Society of VIA with the support of the Industries Members is developing a land admeasuring around 5500 M² from 3rd Phase Fire Station to Kunder Chemicals. Tree Plantation was done at that site also on the World Environment Day – 5th June 2021. A Webinar was organized jointly with GPCB as part of the World Environment Day Celebration. During the Webinar Shri Prakashbhai during his welcome address expressed the need to do the plantation particularly medicinal plants and the plants which disposes more Oxygen to deal with pandemic and health challenges faced by the entire world. He said VIA and the Green Society of VIA understanding the necessity has already developed an Arogya Van during the Environment Drive 2020 with medicinal plants, he said similarly this year also we are developing the Tulsi Van and the first time in Vapi – an Oxygen Park. He said VIA and its Team stands committed for the continual improvement of the ambience in the Estate. Shri Kalpeshbhai later on gave a brief visual presentation on the activities of Green Society of VIA before giving a 3D presentation of the Oxygen park and thereafter the Online Inauguration of the Oxygen Park was done in presence of the all.
