Vapi Industries Association came into existence in 1971. The founder President of VIA is Shri Rajjubhai Shroff, Chairman & Managing Director of M/s. UPL Ltd. Presently there are around 2100 industrial units situated in Vapi Industrial Estate. Vapi Industries Association is popularly known as VIA and is the most vibrant organ of the industrial township. As an integral part of the Notified Area Board, Vapi VIA has been instrumental in all round developmental activities that have gone into bringing up the township to what it is today.

Thanks to the vision and foresight of its Past Presidents and Advisory Board Members, the Association is nurtured to cherish high ethical values in all spheres of its activities. VIA renders invaluable services to its constituents members in all state of industrial activities and performs a catalytic role in implementing various policies and programs of the Government. The Association has always been successful in representing the grievances and hurdles of its members with the ultimate objective of promoting and strengthening trade and commerce.

VIA has built up a Community Hall and two Conference Halls for the benefit of its members as well as the general public and operates several sports facilities. Besides organizing on regular basis Seminars like VIA Impact talks, Safety Alert Program, Business Meets, Human Resources Development Programs etc., the association organizes an industrial exhibition once in every two years in which industries and trade from across the country participates.

VIA has set up "Vapi Emergency Control Centre" to provide timely service to the industries in the event of an emergency arising out of any accidental occurrence or anything of its kind. The Centre is controlled by a Committee under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble District Collector of Valsad, Gujarat.

To bridge the ever-widening gap between demand and availability of trained Safety Officers employment of which is a statutory requirement, VIA is running Government recognized Two Year Post Diploma Course in Industrial Safety and Health with fifty students each in a batch of two years. From the year 2006-07 it has also started Post Diploma in Industrial Environmental Technology and Management Course recognized by the Technical Education Board, Gandhinagar to satisfy the need of the industries for qualified environmental personnel.
