Mega Job Fair on 6.10.2017

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) is regularly holding Mega Job Fair with the support of District Administration and Valsad Employment Office. VIA is also organizing Job Fairs time to time jointly with Employment Department of Valsad and various it is. With the rapid industrial growth in the Vapi Industrial Estate and surrounding region we are in constant need of skilled employees and workers. This has often created a sizeable gap between the actual requirement and recruitment. To mitigate the demand of employment and to reduce unemployment in this region VIA is continuously putting its effort by holding such job fairs. As a continued effort a Mega Job Fair has been organized jointly with Labour & Employment Department of Gujarat and Valsad Employment Department on 6th October 2017 at VIA Ground. The inaugural function of the Mega Job Fair was held in the presence of Shri C R Kharsan IAS, Hon’ble Collector of Valsad, Shri G L Patel, General Manager, DIC, Valsad, Pardi, Shri K M Sarang, Employment Officer, Valsad, Shri J C Choudhary, Principal, ITI, Pardi, Shri Vasava, Mamlatdar, Vapi, Shri K V Bhandari, Principal, ITI, Vapi, S K Patel, Employment Officer, Valsad, and other officers from Employment Department, DIC, many of the Industries Representatives Press & Media members. The inaugural function was also attended by Shri Hitendra Thakkar, President, VIA, Shri Chandrakant Pandya, Vice President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Prakash Bhadra, Jt. Secretary, VIA and many Committee Members of VIA. Total 1030 candidates registered themselves during the Mega Job Fair for recruitment, 34 Industries took part in the Mega Job Fair for recruitment and after initial evaluation 795 candidates were primarily selected for final recruitment by these Industries.
