Samiksha Samaroh of Environment Drive 2017 on 28th July 2017 at VIA Auditorium

VIA has always taken lead role and proactive steps for the safe keeping of the environment and create awareness amongst the Industries Members and Residents of the Estate about the importance to maintain the ecological balance which resulted into all round growth in this Vapi Industrial Estate. As part of the continued effort for the betterment of the Environment VIA has initiated a month long Environment Drive 2017 on the World Environment Day – 5th June 2017, jointly with GPCB, GIDC, NAA, VGEL, WWF and GIZ. Divyabhaskar and JMD News have also extended their support in this endeavour as Media Partner and Media Coverage Partner. This Samiksha Samaroh was organized to review the works done during this one month by the Association and its industries members. During this month 170 dumper load of Debris and Domestic Waste weighing over 2600 MT was lifted from the Industrial Areas of the Estate. With the support of the Industries Members total 49360 number of trees has been planted within the industries and in the open spaces of the estate. Free saplings were also distributed to the Industries Members and the Residents of the Estate to increase greenery in the estate. Wall painting with the theme on Environment was done to increase awareness. Several Seminars and Awareness programs on Environmental Topics were organized with the support of GPCB and GIZ. Blood Donation Camp was organized at Aarti Industries to mitigate the scarcity of the Blood in the district as part of this Environment Drive and 306 units of Blood was collected during the camp. The Samiksha Samaroh was held at 3:00 pm on 28th July 2017 at VIA Auditorium in the Presence of Shri C R Kharsan IAS, Hon'ble Collector of Valsad, Shri A G Patel, Regional Officer, GPCB, Vapi, Shri Suresh Patel, Chairman, Notfied Area Governing Board, Shri Anthony Baria, Unit Head - Vapi, Divya Bhaskar, Col (Retd) Ravinder Jain, CEO, Vapi Green Enviro Ltd., Shri Hitendra Thakkar, President, VIA, Shri Chandrakant Pandya, Vice President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Munna Shah, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Prakash Bhadra, Jt. Secretary, VIA and many committee members and members of VIA and friends from Press & Media. the event was well attended by over 300 industries members
