Khat Muhurat of New Auditorium of VIA by the worthy hands of Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat on 29th November 2024, Friday

VIA Auditorium was one of the most popular fully air conditioned auditorium of this region with seating capacity of 722 seats and the same was actually established four decades back and then renovated as a fully air conditioned auditorium in the year 2003. Over the period of time it has got its wear and tear, the Team of VIA therefore decided to demolish the VIA Auditorium and establish a new auditorium with all the modern facilities and amenities. Lot of efforts were made by the Team of VIA to appoint a competent architect, prepare and finalize the drawing and design of the new auditorium and also approaches were made to accumulate the required fund for establishment of the new Auditorium and eventually a design of a modern auditorium with approximate 1000 seats with a budgeted cost of Rs. 17 Crores was finalized by the Advisory Board Members and Committee Members of VIA. The Khat Muhurat of the new Auditorium was done by Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Finance Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat on 29th November 2024, Friday in the presence of the Advisory Board Members, Office Bearers, Committee Member and Members of VIA along with the renowned Industrialist of the Estate and friends from Press & Media. Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA welcomed all in the auspicious Khat Muhurat and then requested Shri Satishbhai Patel, President, VIA to address the present dignitaries and members. Shri Satishbhai expressed thanks to Shri Kanubhai for sparing his valuable time to do the Khat Muhurat of the new Auditorium of VIA. He also expressed that from the conceptualization to the finalization of the project the Advisory Board Members of VIA, particularly Shri Yogaeshbhai Kabaria, Shri Milanbhai Desai, Shri A K Shah have always continuously extended their support to the Office Bearers and the Team of VIA by giving valuable advice and guidance, they have also remained instrumental in getting the sponsor for establishment of the new Auditorium, Shri Satishbhai expressed his gratitude to them for their continued support. He further said that Shri Kanubhai has also provided his support to the team since the inception of the project. He then requested Shri Yogeshbhai to share his view and experience about the project. Shri Yogeshbhai expressing his gratitude to Shri Kanubhai said that whenever the delegation from VIA has approached Shri Kanubhai with any pending work or necessary projects he has immediately extended his fullest support and guidance which has resulted in tremendous growth of infrastructures and amenities in Vapi Industrial Estate and surrounding areas. He then said that due to wear and tear the demolition of the same was necessary, at the same time the need was also felt to establish a modern Auditorium with higher seating capacity. We are blessed to get the guidance for the establishment of the new Auditorium. He then said that for the requirement of the necessary fund to establish the new Auditorium the delegation of VIA approached Shri Anjumbhai Bilakhia, MD of Meril Group and Shri Anjumbhai happily accepted to sponsor the establishment of the new Auditorium of VIA, he also expressed his wish to name the Auditorium in the name of Shri Kanubhai Desai as the gratitude to Shri Kanubhai from the industrial fraternity of the Estate. Shri Yogeshbhai therefore proposed the name of the new Auditorium as Shri Kanu Desai VIA Auditorium – Project by Meril. All the present Office Bearers, Advisory Board Members, Committee Members, Members and Industrialists happily accepted the proposal of Shri Yogeshbhai. The entire Team of VIA also expressed heartfelt thanks to the Bilakhia family for their kind support. Shri A K Shah, Advisory Board Member, VIA said that Shri Kanubhai Desai is also an Advisory Board Member of VIA and he always rendered special support and guidance for the betterment of VIA and Vapi Industrial Estate. During the tenure of Shri Kanubhai as a Cabinet Minister we are experiencing rapid improvement in infrastructure facilities and new projects like Railway Over Bridges, Underpasses etc. Shri Kanubhai said that he is and will always put his best effort for the wellbeing of the people of Vapi, he then said that after so many years now the Bilkahdi has been straightened, CC Lining has been done and therefore the water logging in the monsoon is not seen in the estate after so many years, similarly a drainage line from GIDC Char Rasta to Bilkhadi at Balitha is been made to avoid water logging in that area, underground cabling of overhead electrical line is also been done. He continued saying that the pipeline from CETP, Vapi to Sea was to be established earlier with the contribution of Member Industries for deep sea discharge, but now the State Government will be executing the project and the Industries Members has to contribute only 20% of the project cost saving Crores of Rupees. He said in the coming days a Riverfront will also be made on the Damanganga River and many more projects will be done to make Vapi a Eco Friendly Estate with Global Standard. The Khat Muhurat Function was held in the presence of Shri Maganbhai Savalia, Vice President, VIA, Shri Chandresh Maru, Jt. Secretary, VIA, Shri Milanbhai Desai, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Shri Prakashbhai Bhadra, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Rajneesh Anand, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Immd. Past President, VIA, Committee Members and Members of VIA, Officials of Meril Group, Committee Members of Vapi Nagarpalika and the Team Members of Architects and Contractors, Press & Media Friends.
