Inauguration of Health & Safety Training Workshop on 9th March 2024 at Center of Excellence (CoE), Vapi

Vapi Industries Association (VIA) is working relentlessly to create awareness on Health & Safety measures for the Industries Workers & Employees to mitigate the Risk of Accidents & Incidents at Industries. VIA has organized numerous Training & Awareness Programs in the past as part of this endeavor and also conducted many events under the banner of Safety Alert Program to make Vapi Industrial Estate a Zero Accident Estate and as part of this continued mission VIA and Vapi Green Enviro Ltd. (VGEL) has joined hand with Shivansh OHSEQ Consultancy, Navsari to organize Health & Safety Training Workshop on AAA 1 of Factory Act throughout the year at Center of Excellence (CoE), Vapi with the support of Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH), Valsad. The Inauguration of the Health & Safety Training Workshop was done on 9th March 2024, Saturday by the worthy hands of Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat in the august presence of Shri Satishbhai Patel, President, VIA, Shri Maganbhai Savalia, Vice President, VIA, Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Chandreshbhai Maru, Jt. Secretary, VIA, Advosry Board Members of VIA – Shri A K Shah, Shri Yogeshbhai Kabaria, Shri Milanbhai Desai, Shri Shirishbhai Desai, Shri Prakashbhai Bhadra, Immd. Past President of VIA Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Shri M C Gohil, Dy. Director of DISH, Valsad, Asst. Directors of DISH, Valsad Shri N K Patel & Shri Makwana, Past President & Past Hon. Secretary of Sarigam Industries Association (SIA) Shri Kamleshbhai Bhatt and Shri Kaushikbhai Patel, President of Morai Industries Association (MIA) Shri Gautambhai Shah, Chairman of Notified Area Governing Board of Vapi Shri Hemantbhai Patel, Shri Jatinbhai Mehta, CEO, VGEL, Shir Kiran Hansora, GM (Finance), VGEL, many committee members & members of VIA and Safety Managers & Safety Officers from the Industries. Shri Satishbhai during his welcome speech expressed thanks to Shri Kanubhai on behalf of the Industries for his visionary leadership to initiate the establishment of Disaster Management Center at Vapi along with other infrastructural projects like deep sea discharge of the treated waste water of CETP, Vapi, upgradation of Muktidham with the help of CSR Fund of Gujarat Gas Ltd. etc., he then requested all the Industries Members take necessary measures to prevent accidents and to maintain preparedness to minimize losses in case of any accidents / incidents at their factory premises. Shri Gohil explained the need of health & Safety Training and the necessity to remain prepared for any untoward incidents to prevent accidents. Shri Kanubhai during his address to the present said that VIA and its team has made continued effort to establish a Disaster Management Center and with their regular follow up very shortly a Disaster Management Center for Valsad District will be set up at Vapi with financial assistance from Government of Gujarat. He then said that the Industries & Trade Members of the Estate are taking utmost care to remain compliant for environmental laws & rules, he continued saying that similar effort for Health & Safety measures by the Industries will surely reduce the number of accidents / incidents at the estate drastically and therefore encouraged all the present to focus on Industrial Safety & Health at their factory premises. Shri Kalpeshbhai delivered the Vote of Thanks by thanking all the dignitaries, guests and participants.
