Welcome Meeting of Dr. Karanraj Vaghela IPS, Superintendent of Police, Valsad & Interactive Session with Industries Members at 4:00 pm on 25th September 2023 at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall

Dr. Karanraj Vaghela IPS has recently taken charge as the Superintendent of Police, Valsad. A welcome meeting of Dr. Vaghela IPS was organized at 4:00 pm on 25th September 2023, Monday at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall followed by an interactive session with the Industries Members on the Law & Order issues of the estate. The meeting was held in the presence of Shri B N Dave, Dy. SP, Vapi, Shri B G Bharwad, Police Inspector, Vapi GIDC, Police Station, Shri Satishbhai Patel, President, VIA, Shri Maganbhai Savalia, Vice President, VIA, Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Rajulbhai Shah, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Chandreshbhai Maru, Jt. Secretary, VIA, Shri A K Shah, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Milanbhai Desai, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Shirishbhai Desai, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Praksh Bhadra, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Rajneesh Anand, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Immd. Past President, VIA, Executive Committee Members of VIA – Shri Kaushikbhai Patel, Shri Hemantbhai Patel, Shri Prabhakar Borole, Shri Krishnanad Heble, Shri Sanjay Shah, Shri Devendra Patel, Shri Joy Kothari, Shri Viraj Daxini, Shri Ashwin Kothari and many more, many of the Industries & Trade Members of VIA, Press & Media friends and staff members of the Police Department. Shri Kalpeshbhai called the meeting to order and gave a brief introduction of Dr. Vaghela IPS, thereafter Shri Satishbhai delivered his welcome address, thereafter Shri Hemantbhai, represented that there are regular traffic congestion in the Gunjar Residential area, particularly in the market areas as there are unauthorized lari galas on the road, pavements of the main road which need to be removed, there are encroachment and illegal parking on the road in front of Super Travels, popularly known as Chinese Gali which need to be set right and both side of the Koparli Road needs to be made free from parking of vehicles. Shri Rajulbhai said that we need to adopt strict traffic rules like metrocities like Mumbai and Hyderabad where stringent is in force for drink & drive, road crossing by pedestrians etc., Shri Prakashbhai suggested that a common WhatsApp number may be provided by the department where citizens may post photographs of vehicles parked illegally on the roads with their number plate so that police department may take necessary action. Dr. Karanraj Vaghela IPS, SP, Valsad appreciated the suggestions and assured to implement them as far as and as soon as possible. He also thanked VIA for all their support in installing CCTV Cameras and setting up the Monitoring Room at Gunjan Police Chowky. Shri B N Dave, Dy. SP, Vapi then gave brief about Dr. Karanraj Vaghela IPS, SP, Valsad and invited him to address the present. Dr. Vaghela during his address then requested all the present industries & trade members to adopt the following to reduce traffic issues, avoid fatal accidents and for better law & order situation : Ensure that all the employees and workers coming by two wheelers wear helmets and if needed incentivize them for the same or restrict entry to the industrial premises if they are not using helmets. Ensure Health & Safety situation within the factory premises for all the employees and workers. It is important to collect basic information of all the employees & workers and to provide the same to the police department through VIA so that the department may check whether any of them are having any criminal background and to ensure better safety & security in the estate. It was also suggested to install CCTV Cameras in all the industries premises to maintain safety & security at the industries and in the estate. Lastly he suggested all the Industries Members to arrange to provide Ayushman Card to all their employees which will help them in getting free medical treatment at the time of emergency. He then conclude his address by thanking entire team of VIA for all their support to the police department. The interactive session was very helpful and it was well attended by over 100 participants and the session was concluded by vote of thanks from the Police Inspector, Vapi GIDC Police Station.
