Interactive Meeting with Chairman, GPCB at 3:30 pm on 24th June 2022 at VIA 2nd Floor Conf. Hall

Shri R B Barad IAS, Chairman, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) made a visit to Vapi Industrial Estate on 24th June 2022, Friday. An Interactive Meeting of Industries Members with Shri R B Barad IAS, Chairman, GPCB was arranged at VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall. The meeting was held in the august presence of Shri Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Govt. of Gujarat, Shri Kamlesh Patel, President, VIA, Shri Sunil Agarwal, Vice President, VIA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Hemang Naik, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Secretary, VIA, Shri A K Shah, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Shirishbhai Desai, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Milanbhai Desai, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Prakash Bhadra, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Rajnessh Anand, Advisory Board Member, VIA, Shri Suresh Patel, Director, Vapi Green Enviro Ltd. (VGEL), Shri Magan Savalia, Director, VGEL, Shri A G Patel, Regional Officer, GPCB, Vapi, Shri A O Trivedi, Regional Officer, GPCB, Sarigam, Shri Dineshkumar Parmar, Regional Manager, GIDC, Vapi, Shri D B Sagar, Chief Officer, Notified Area Authority, Vapi, Shri Vivek Trivedi, Environment Officer, GPCB, Vapi many of the Executive Committee Members and Industries Members of VIA. The welcome address by Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, President, VIA was followed by Floral Welcome of the dignitaries, thereafter Shri Hemangbhai Naik, Treasurer, VIA gave the brief of Vapi Industrial Estate, VIA and its multidimensional activities through a visual presentation followed by a visual presentation on the activities of Green Society of VIA was given by Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Jt. Secretary & Chairman – Green Society, VIA & Director, VGEL and thereafter a visual presentation of VGEL and its activity was given by Shri Jatin Mehta, CEO, VGEL. Shri R B Barad IAS during his speech emphasized that the Industrialization and Up-keeping of the Environment has to go hand in hand to generate Sustainable Growth and the Govt. of Gujarat is also of the same view and wants the Industrial Fraternity to also to follow the same philosophy. He further expressed that after taking charge as the Chairman, GPCB, five months back, he has always worked for the well being of the industries and never delayed in essential processes like renewal of consents etc., he further assured that he will continue working for the well being of the Industries. He then appreciated various initiatives taken by VIA and Green Society for the upliftment of the society and the environment, he also requested VIA to ensure maximum survival of the trees planted so that the ambience keeps improving continuously. Shri Kanubhai during his speech expressed that the Industries Members of Vapi Industrial Estate has always focused on compliance of the environmental and other norms and keep doing so. He further said that with changing time we also need to strive for continuous improvement by maintaining strict discipline in our process and practice to generate further sustainable growth. Shri Prakashbhai Bhadra thanked Shri R B Barad IAS, Chairman, GPCB for resolving the long pending Siting Criteria parameters. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Shri Satishbhai Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA Thereafter the Chairman, GPCB made a visit to CETP, Vapi and Muktidham.
