Interactive Session with Representative of GMDC Ltd. for Supply of Coal to Industries on 13th May 2022

The Industries Members of Vapi Industrial Estate are facing hurdles & difficulties in the recent past due to shortage in supply of coal and exorbitant price rise also. To bring a solution to this crisis an Interactive Session was arranged with GMDC Ltd. on 13th May 2022, Friday in VIA 2nd Floor Conference Hall, jointly with Gujarat Paper Mills Association (GPMA). Mr. R K Das, General Manager (Sales), GMDC Ltd. during the Interactive Session said that GMDC Ltd. has tied up with Coal India Ltd. for supply Coal from their Bilaspur and Nagpur sites to the Industries of Gujarat State. He then explained how the Industries Members using less than 10000 MT of Coal per annum may be benefitted by procuring coal through GMDC. He said that due to the geographical location Vapi will be getting the Coal from the said mines at the cheapest price compared to other Industrial Estates of Gujarat. He thereafter explained the process of registering with GMDC for procuring Coal through them. The Interactive Session was held in the presence of Shri Kamlesh Patel, President, VIA, Shri Sunil Agarwal, Vice President, VIA & President , GPMA, Shri Satish Patel, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Kalpesh Vora, Jt. Secretary, VIA. The event was attended by many prominent Industries Members from Paper & Packaging and Chemical Industries.
